How much does a deep clean cost in Sydney?
A deep clean of a 1 bed, 1 bath home costs $329 one-off, against $221 for a standard clean, and the difference holds at every home size because both rise by the same amount per room.
The difference buys more time for detailed work on the dishwasher, bathroom vanities, range hood, tile grout, skirting boards and window sills and tracks. Cleaning inside the oven is included. Cleaning inside the fridge and inside kitchen cabinets and drawers is optional and costs extra. Compare the same tasks, including the oven, fridge and cupboard interiors, by adding any paid extras to both service prices. Choose a deep clean when the home needs its broader detailed checklist. Market check
What do Sydney companies charge for a deep clean?
Three Sydney companies publish deep clean prices for these sizes: $219 to $220 for 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (two companies, neither stating GST) and $279 to $500 for 3 bedrooms, where the $500 is a "from" price that includes GST and the lower prices don't say.
The spread is mostly scope. Exit Cleaners' price list doesn't say what its deep clean covers, and sells the inside of the oven ($60) and inside cupboards ($68 for 1 to 2 bedrooms) as extras on the same page. Call The Cleaners lists skirting boards, ceiling fans, A/C vents and cobwebs in its deep clean, but charges extra for the inside of the oven ($60), the rangehood ($40), the fridge ($60) and inside cupboards ($60 for 1 to 3 bedrooms). Adding its oven and rangehood to its 2 bedroom price gives $320, before any GST question is settled. Clean Effortlessly's higher "from" prices include more: inside windows, grout inside the shower screen, mould and soap scum and the exhaust fan, with the oven (+$45) and fridge (+$35) still extra.
Read the fine print on parking, which matters more in Sydney than in most cities. Exit Cleaners adds the cost of a paid spot to your total if there is no free parking, and Clean Effortlessly adds paid parking to the final bill if it is the only option. City of Sydney meters cost $9 an hour in Area 1 and $7 in Area 2, at all times including public holidays (2026 to 27 rates). Re-clean windows differ too: Call The Cleaners asks to hear within 24 hours and Clean Effortlessly offers a free re-clean within 72 hours. Ours is 48 hours.

Because the Care & Cover fee includes card processing, which grows with the total, an extra adds a little more than its listed price: the $46 inside oven deep clean extra adds $47 to a 2 bed, 1 bath one-off. Extras on a regular plan are charged on the first visit unless you add them again, except eco & green cleaning products, which is charged on every visit. On completed cleans since our current booking platform began in April 2026, 24% of standard cleans (127) and 38% of deep cleans (90) added at least one paid extra.
Extra prices in this table include GST and are listed item prices. Adding an extra can also change the Care & Cover fee; steam-cleaning items can be subject to a minimum. Your quote shows the full change to your total before you confirm.
How does build-up affect a deep clean?
Some build-up adds 60 minutes of cleaner time with a listed price adjustment of $93, before recurring frequency adjustments. A home that needs a proper reset has its own allowance and charge. The table uses current booking totals for the same home; first-visit adjustments drop off later visits.
Before you book, compare the cost of the condition charge with the price difference to a standard clean: a home that has gone a while often needs a deep clean's extra time anyway. The table shows each total for the same home.

What makes a Sydney deep clean take longer?
Mostly build-up, as anywhere, but Sydney adds its own: getting in and parking at a unit block, bathrooms that stay damp through the first half of the year, and a shower film that is soap scum more often than scale.
Apartments, lifts and parking
In the 2021 Census, 30.7% of occupied homes in Greater Sydney were flats or apartments, more than twice the national 14.2%, and 25.7% had two bedrooms against 19.1% nationally (ABS). Our price is set by bedrooms and bathrooms, so a unit costs the same as a house of the same size. What a building adds is time at the door: arrange the entry, a lift booking if your strata needs one, and a visitor space or parking instructions. We don't add parking costs, but if there is no suitable parking the clean may have to be rescheduled (terms).
Damp bathrooms from February to June
At Observatory Hill the wettest months are March and June, and 9 am humidity sits at 71% to 74% from January to July (BOM). Western Sydney gets less rain but damper winter mornings: 85% at 9 am in June at Penrith Lakes (BOM). NSW Health links mould to moist rooms without enough ventilation (NSW Health), so a bathroom with no window or a weak fan is where build-up on grout, silicone and the ceiling, and the extra time it takes, is most likely.
Soft water, so less descaling
Sydney Water puts Greater Sydney's water at about 57 mg/L of calcium carbonate, which it counts as soft (Sydney Water). Taps and screens tend to need less descaling than in hard-water cities; the time goes on soap scum and body oil instead.
How long does a deep clean take?
The table shows the cleaner time we book for a deep clean by home size; a team of two shares it, so they are on site for about half as long.

Elapsed time on site: on 169 recent cleans with check-in and check-out times from our cleaner app, it was a median 99% of the visit's scheduled window (middle half 79–115%); a team's window is shorter because the work is shared. Measured labour: every cleaner's clocked time added together came to a median 2h 47m for a standard clean, across 91 of those visits.

With Simply Maid, $329 for 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, $361 for 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, $425 for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and $457 for 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Fridge and kitchen cupboard interiors are optional extras.
Is a deep clean cheaper in Western Sydney?
Not with us. Our price is the same in every Sydney suburb and every city, and we don't add travel or parking charges by suburb.
Do Sydney cleaners charge for parking?
Some do. Two of the three price lists we read on 11 October 2026 pass on paid parking when there is no free spot. Simply Maid doesn't add parking costs, but the cleaner needs a park or clear parking instructions.
How much more is a deep clean than a regular clean?
For 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, a standard clean is $253 and a deep clean is $361, allowing about 3h 43m for the deep clean. The difference pays for the inside of the oven, the rangehood, skirting boards, grout and ceiling fans.
Why are some Sydney deep clean prices lower than yours?
Usually because the oven and rangehood are extras. Call The Cleaners' 2 bedroom deep clean is $220, and its inside-oven and rangehood extras bring it to $320; check what each price includes and whether it includes GST before comparing.
Is a deep clean dearer in Sydney?
Not with us: our price is set by your home's bedrooms and bathrooms and is the same in every city we serve. Other companies' prices vary within each city, so compare what each quote includes.

Today's prices come from our live booking calculator, Sydney market prices from local companies' own websites, and history from our completed bookings, each labelled where it appears.
Prices are read from the same calculator the booking form uses each time this page is shown; it has no location input, so they are the same in every city. Market prices are what Sydney companies publish on their own websites for a deep clean, read on the date shown with the table; we leave out marketplaces, comparison guides and copied network tables, and we never average the ends of a range. Booking history is from our previous platform; a median needs 30 bookings from 20 customers and a share needs 30, and anything below that is left out. The national guide sets out the method in full.
